Miami, FL. (November 15, 2024) – Jenni Rivera’s legacy continues to shine with the release of a new banda version of her classic song “Ya Lo Sé,” celebrating the 15th anniversary of her iconic album La Gran Señora. While “Ya Lo Sé” was originally recorded in mariachi, Jenni frequently performed this and other hits in a banda version during her concerts.
Johnny Lopez, Jenni Rivera’s son, highlights the significance of this release, explaining that the banda version of “Ya Lo Sé” captures the deep emotional connection and intensity with which his mother performed her songs live. «For us, this version truly reflects the passion with which my mom lived and felt every live performance, from the very core of her being,» Johnny shared.
The banda version of «Ya Lo Sé» was produced by Luciano Luna, one of today’s most respected producers in regional Mexican music, who worked closely with the Rivera family to bring this new version to life. “This song was one of the first we worked on with Luciano Luna, before releasing ‘Ovarios (Banda)’ last summer,” Johnny said. He added that with this release, they are gifting Jenni Rivera’s loyal fans new music and a special reminder of the moments when Jenni performed “Ya Lo Sé” in banda arrangements, showing the unique connection she had with her audience.
This track is part of the ongoing celebration of La Gran Señora’s 15th anniversary—an album that has become a touchstone in regional Mexican music and continues to inspire new generations. With its themes of love, heartbreak, and female empowerment, La Gran Señora remains a powerful symbol of Jenni Rivera’s strength and enduring legacy. Soon, a banda version of the entire album will be released, further highlighting the unique bond Jenni shared with her fans.
“Ya Lo Sé (Banda)” is now available on all digital platforms. With this release, the Jenni Rivera Estate reaffirms its commitment to keeping Jenni’s memory alive and continuing to share her music with those who continue to celebrate her life and art.
